Song Of The Day - 21st April, 2012
BLUE - I Can
“I can, I will, I know, I can untie these hands, And get back up again”
“Remember When It Rained” is from Josh Groban’s 2003 Closer. The musical accompaniment to Groban’s voice is exemplary. I consider “Remember When It Rained” to be Josh Groban’s most underrated song.
Groban’s vocals are rich, heartfelt, harmonic, and everything perfect in this world. There are artists out there whose voices become weak as the explore their full ranges in a single song, but Josh Groban’s voice is resiliently strong throughout. Just after 3:40 into the song, the snare drums signify the crescendo of music and vocals, as Josh Groban finishes the song perfectly.
“Remember When It Rained” reached #15 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, although it never really took off in any other capacity. The song’s composition is fairly complex, featuring a whole medley of strings and percussion. Enjoy!
